Is the lack of a down payment holding you back from taking advantage of the current low interest rates? Wells Fargo and Business & Community Lenders of Texas (BCL) can help. Get up to $17,500 down payment assistance with NeighborhoodLIFT.

Through this program, down payment assistance grants are available to eligible homebuyers, whether you’re buying a home for the first time or not. Wells Fargo launched NeighborhoodLIFT with a $6.6 million commitment from its Wells Fargo Foundation. The goal is to help families with limited income experience the rewards of homeownership. In addition to providing a grant for the down payment, Wells Fargo NeighborhoodLIFT gives new homebuyers financial education so they fully prepare for the responsibilities of homeownership. BCL helps individuals buy homes and manage money. The non-profit organization provides homebuyer education and foreclosure prevention counseling to contribute to more sustainable homeownership which leads to neighborhood stability.

Gary Hudson, Wells Fargo Greater Fort Worth region bank president, said, “The program will provide hardworking families and individuals the opportunity to achieve successful homeownership.”

Hometown Heroes get $17,500

NeighborhoodLIFT is stepping up and giving back to those professionals who support the people in our communities. If you are a first responder (law enforcement officer, firefighter, EMT), teacher, or an active or retired member of the military, you could qualify for an additional $2,500 in down payment assistance for a total $17,500 grant.
