What’s Covered in Your Home Warranty?

At Riverside Homebuilders, we’re often asked, “What’s covered in your home warranty?” So, we thought we’d take a moment to brag about our structural warranty program that protects you for up to 10 years!

One-year warranty coverage

The first year, Riverside Homebuilders’ home warranty covers workmanship and materials. We will repair, replace, or pay for any defects that don’t meet performance standards. This includes a comprehensive list:

• Site work (e.g., excavation)
• Concrete
• Masonry
• Carpentry
• Doors and windows
• Siding and roofing
• Finishes
• Specialties (e.g., fireplace)
• Equipment (e.g., cabinets)
• Mechanical systems
• HVAC (heating, air conditioning, ductwork)
• Electrical systems

This coverage begins the day you take ownership of your home. We recommend having a Riverside Homebuilders’ professional conduct a walk-through of your home at 11 months to

identify any issues that are covered in the one-year warranty, so you can submit a claim while the coverage is still in place.

Two-year warranty coverage

Riverside Homebuilders has built lasting relationships with professional tradespeople to install the systems that “run” your home. We know we can rely on their skill, dedication to quality, and integrity. Their work is a reflection of ours, so we confidently include this coverage.

These systems are protected for two full years:

• Water supply
• Septic tank
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Heating
• Air conditioning (including ductwork)

Ten-year warranty coverage

From the day of your closing, your home’s structure is covered by our new home warranty for ten full years! We stand behind our workmanship, so if your home experiences problems with these load-bearing components during that time, the repair or replacement is fully covered:

• Foundation systems, footings, and piers
• Floor framing system
• Walls and partitions
• Roof framing system
• Beams, headers, and girders
• Lintels (not including those that support veneers)
• Non-cosmetic columns and masonry arches
