Living in Crowley, Texas
Fifteen miles south of downtown Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Crowley sits in a sweet spot where you're close enough to the city for a quick commute, but far enough out that you can still hear crickets at night. That combination is a big part of why families keep moving here.
The city's recorded history goes back to the mid-1840s, when Farmers settled near Deer Creek. In the 1880s, when the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railway Company laid tracks through, the town took shape around its depot and stockyards. The city was named after S.H. Crowley, the railroad's transportation master, which speaks to its practical, get-it-done character. Crowley was officially incorporated in 1951 and grew into a full-fledged city by 1972. Decades later, that rural-to-suburb story is still visible in the mix of established neighborhoods and new construction spreading across town.
Green space is everywhere once you start looking. Bicentennial Park is home to many weekend plans with its trails and picnic spots.
