It takes a whole team of people to build a home from the sales counsellors to the construction team and everyone working behind the scenes to keep the project on track. To build a community, it takes even more.  

That is where David Herron and his team come into the process. As Riverside Homebuilders’ Customer Service Manager, he is the one making sure that homebuyers are happy long after their purchase. That means supervising the fulfillment of warranty requests and tracking customer surveys to consistently improve the process for Dallas-Fort Worth area homeowners.

David had experience with other homebuilders in the area before joining Riverside Homebuilders doing maintenance on model homes, learning sales and staging open houses. But, he wanted to learn more about the construction side of the process and applied here as a builder assistant. He was later promoted to builder and oversaw nearly 100 new construction projects in Decatur, Gainesville and Sanger before his current position as manager.

He proved to be a quick study and five years later he is managing six service technicians and a coordinator as well as communicating with buyers to address any concerns about their new homes.

“My favorite part of working for Riverside is the people and the friendships I have within the company,” David said. “It makes work enjoyable and the chemistry we share allows us to better serve our homeowners because we are invested as a team.”

His department has been busier than ever with Riverside Homebuilders selling a record number of new homes and consistently expanding its offerings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. That also means there are record numbers of homes and homeowners to keep track of when construction is complete.

One of the big things that sets new construction homes apart from resale properties is the worry-free home warranty that David’s team helps provide. It starts with a one-year builder’s warranty that covers defects in workmanship and materials while offering unmatched customer service. 

From there, Riverside Homebuilders works with locally-operated StrucSure Home Warranty which provides a two-year warranty covering wiring, piping, and ductwork in the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating, and mechanical systems. As you can imagine, work keeps him busy, but he leaves plenty of time to connect with his family too. Oftentimes that means hours spent at the ice rink watching his son play hockey or lacing up his own skates for the adult league.
