“It’s closing day! The closing process is the final step in the homebuying process,” she explains. “Basically, this is where all the important documents are signed and verified. First, the buyer will complete their final walk and sign off on the home to their satisfaction. The homebuyer is then notified of the time of closing and the location where the closing will take place. Once both parties sign their closing documents, the title company will send the signed documents to the lender for verification for funding. The funding process can take a couple of hours or longer, but in certain cases, we fund immediately and we release keys. As soon as the lender issues funding authorization to the title company, we notify the buyers, release keys and the buyers take possession of their new home!”
